Jondell Shives was born in Conroe, spent his early years in Corpus Christi, and graduated from high school in Waller, Texas. He was involved in various sports growing up including: roping calves and riding bulls in the Rodeo, playing quarterback on the football team, as well as basketball.
Jondell graduated from Texas A&M in 2000. In his second year, he decided to pursue construction science thanks to a friend’s advice. His dad, uncle, and cousin are all involved in some type of construction, so it seemed like a good fit. He began working at Harvey right after college with his first major project being the ExxonMobil BCIT in Baytown. To stay current in the practice, Jondell is involved in the following organizations: ABC, Bluebonnet Youth Group, NAIOP, and Harvey Safety Committee.
In addition to being passionate about construction, Jondell enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. He and his wife have been married for two and a half years and, together, they have a dog named Briscoe, a cat named Noir, and a five-month-year-old son named Tilden.
