Dennet Wenske grew up in the small town of La Grange, Texas playing baseball from little league through high school. He enjoyed building things and his grandfather was a home builder/master builder thus steering him to the Texas A&M Construction Science program. After graduating from Texas A&M in 1988, he moved to Houston and in 1993 he joined the Harvey team. His first project with Harvey was the complex University of Houston Athletic and Alumni Facility project. In 2000, Dennet moved to Austin to open an office with Doug Losey.
Dennet currently resides in Austin, Texas with his wife Catherine. They have two children, Morgan and Drew and two Dachshunds named Presley and Tilly. Dennet spends his free time hunting, fishing and golfing. He is currently a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA).
What was your first paying job?
Catching perch to sell to a commercial fisherman to sell for bait. I did this from age 8 to 15 and made 25 cents a piece.
